Varicose Veins
Varicose veins occur when your veins become enlarged, dilated, and overfilled with blood. Varicose veins typically appear swollen and raised, and have a bluish-purple or red color.
Reticular Veins
Reticular veins are flat, blue-green veins usually between 3-5 mm in diameter, often cause/feed spider veins, and usually have no connection to underlying saphenous veins.
Spider Veins
Spider veins are small dilated blood vessels that can occur near the surface of the skin or mucous membranes, measuring between 0.5 and 1 millimeter in diameter.
