How Does a PDO Thread Lift Work?
To begin your thread lift, a team member will thoroughly clean your skin. Once this is done, we will administer a strong numbing cream to the treatment areas. We may also ask you to take oral pain medication before your treatment if you're worried about experiencing any discomfort. Kimberly Miller, FNP will then mark the areas where threads will be used to ensure your best results. We will then inject a local anesthetic into the treatment areas to ensure your comfort throughout the process.
As soon as you are fully numb, we will place the threads underneath the skin in the predetermined areas and adjust them as needed until we achieve the desired outcome. When your procedure is over, the Nurse Practitioner will provide you with post-op instructions. The placement of the threads only takes about 20 – 30 minutes to complete, but you can expect to be at our Abingdon, VA office for around two hours.
